Our Team

Dr. Giles has been practicing optometry in La Mesa for over two decades, and he has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the La Mesa community. His wife, Tiffany, teaches at Christ Lutheran School, which is located practically next door to his new office. Dr. Giles has also dedicated time to coaching basketball at Christ Lutheran and Grossmont High School. Additionally, he has coached football locally at Grossmont College, Grossmont High School, and various youth leagues in the community. His experience with sports helps him train children and athletes to function at their highest potential visually.

During his time providing care to his patients in La Mesa, Dr. Giles has amassed over 10,000 hours of clinical experience in vision therapy for children and adults. He has three children: Marissa, an SDSU graduate, who is working with him in his new office; Trenton, who is in college playing football; and Morgan, who is in junior high. Most importantly, Dr. Giles loves Jesus and hopes that his patients experience this love in their lives when they visit our practice.

Marissa graduated from San Diego State University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She has worked in the optometry field since 2019, assuming various roles. Marissa has been an athlete her whole life and is very passionate about fitness, sports, hiking, and lifting weights. She also greatly values her faith and wishes to follow God’s direction for her life. 

Pam has worked in the optical field in La Mesa for 10 years.  She has served as a technician, optician, and vision therapist over this time.  This all comes after retiring from a long and successful career as Vice President of Small Business Banking at Wells Fargo.  

Pam’s husband is a retired law enforcement officer, and now golfs and umpires college and adult baseball.  Her daughter, who is married to a National City fire captain, currently manages sales and facilitation for a company that assists boutique business startups. Her son is currently a Fire Medic with Coronado Fire.  Pam is born and raised in San Diego, as was her dad who is still kicking at 96.
